Behind the Scenes at TRP: Choosing for the BIG REVEAL

Behind the Scenes at TRP: Choosing for the BIG REVEAL

Our REVEAL photoshoots can sometimes yield 600 + images.  Sometimes it's a daunting process to narrow to 16-20 shots that accurately reflect the many moments, expressions, and appearances revealed to us that day:

The one when she realizes it's safe to come out.
The one when she emerges.
The one when she is still,  just fanning her beautiful wings.
The one when she is tentative.
The one when she is animated.
The one when she takes flight.

Shifting Your Lens : Meet Kim Fuller

Shifting Your Lens : Meet Kim Fuller

Last year she officially published her book FINDING about her adopted son Keydell as her greatest spiritual teacher. Shortly after it's publication, she was invited to consider a TED talk based on her passion for new perspectives. She went through TEDx's rigorous submission process, deigned and practiced her talk until she got it right, and then  gave one of the most moving and memorable TEDx talks I've ever seen to a packed auditorium and was rewarded with a unanimous and thunderous standing ovation. I thought my heart would burst.

Fashion & Beauty Picks for November

Fashion & Beauty Picks for November

Sometimes we "shop" before a photo-shoot for specific pieces to create a certain look, but for the most part- we just combine our participants wardrobe with ours.  The make-up and hair is another story.  Truth be told, I'm a bit of a product enthusiast.

I KNOW GOOD MEN

I KNOW GOOD MEN

I'm asking them to stop looking down and away.  To stop knowing the pain and reality of the inequality and treatment of women and to stop shrugging your shoulders as if your goodness isn't big enough to stop this from happening anymore.

It's about HER.

It's about HER.

It's about HER making HER image as a vessel of discovery and capturing the embodied version of HER spirit in a tangible way so that the lies all fall away and what's left to witness is the blinding beauty-mark of HER presence in the world.

Does Life Dream Us?

Does Life Dream Us?

Here I am at the age of almost 47,  and my love has never waned.  What made me trade that natural tendency in for a chance at practicality? Which, the last time I checked has never once ignited passion in me.  I realize that we are not trained to follow natural skills and talents that fall outside the traditional career path.

Standing in the Shadow of Trump

Standing in the Shadow of Trump

I felt my heart sinking around 10:30 or 11pm.  I went from a feeling of hope and pride to disbelief to nausea to panic.   I finally went to bed, unable to face the results.  When I woke up the next day, I was completely floored and devastated.  I had an 8am coaching call and made a (wrong) assumption that my client would be similarly distressed.  When I asked, "how are you doing?"  She said, "well, I am actually really happy about the outcome!"  Talk about a need for a quick perspective shift on my part!

Revealing the Merciful & Kind

Revealing the Merciful & Kind

This past weekend, I was in Washington D.C., attending the final workshop to complete the first half of my CTI Training. What I thought was allergies ended up being a terrible cold.

By day three, I was miserable and at the peak of it; chills, headache, incredibly stuffed up and fatigued. Weeks before, a wonderful classmate and dear friend of mine had offered to share her room with me so we could split costs and here I was spreading my germ infested self all over her.

Soul Winter

Finally
Color

Tulips bloom
trees blossom
birds sing

My heart
feels bright
My spirit
in-sight

It's been a long, long, soul winter
and I'm done digging
out
of the cold cold ground

It's been a long soul Winter and
I'm done with the muffled silence

I'm done wrapping myself
around and around
myself
While I wait for the Moon to wax
or to wane

It's insane.
to be ashamed
of my light

In flight
the birds
don't seem
aware of their wings
or other things
That bring them down

It's been a long, long, soul winter
and I'm done digging
out
of the cold cold ground

It's been a long, long soul winter
and I'm dug out now
i'm free, now
to be, now

Finally
